|Seeking||Sound Mixer and Lighting Designer|
|Location||Easton, Pennsylvania and New York City, New York|
The Actors Ensemble (www.theactorsensemble.com) is embarking on a journey (beyond classes, etc.), which will allow us to produce four short films a year, seasonally, if you will.
The first will be completed by Labor Day and involves two estranged brothers who are re-united due to the death of their mother; they had different father's.
With a minimalistic approach, i.e. small casts, few locations/sets and just enough dialogue (this film will actually incorporate an improvisation aspect to the text; a detailed outline and shot list will be on set), our goal is to tell short stories that deal with the human condition. No flying monkeys or battle scenes and certainly, no Zombies!
We are hoping to wrangle like-minded story tellers/technicians/artists to be a part of this exciting adventure.
To be sure, these stories will allow professionals to continue honing their respective skills.
Actors will be non-union, which allows TAE to continue to assist young student-artists as they transition from a theatre-based career (and academic background) into the world of on-camera performance. There will be a thorough casting process and pre-production has commenced.
All positions are unpaid, craft services provided along with transportation.
If you seek to be a part of a collaborative, thrilling, challenging aspect of the short film genre, please contact us. Our goal is to create, collaborate and celebrate a diverse community of artists with the basics of visal storytelling that touches, inspires, entertains and delves into our shared humanity.
