John became a filmmaker by way of Madison Ave where his agency, Follis DeVito Verdi, gained a reputation for its highly effective and award-winning work. As Creative Director, John wrote and designed many of the agency’s successful campaigns including dozens of TV spots which he helped direct and edit.
In 2013, John founded Big Idea Video, a video marketing company. In 2015, he created his first video short, an animated narrative entitled: “The Most Bizarre Evening in Advertising History” which got accepted in 8 Film Festivals. “Leaving God” is John’s documentary feature debut.
