About Judi

I'm a US born, east coast educated, former Paris Fashion Designer, now a full-time writer living in LA. Santa Monica, to be exact. Spent a lot of time in Europe, and am, in particular, attracted to Historical and or period projects. However, I do like dark drama when it is well written, like Ray Donovan and Homeland. I hate 'reality' and mindless 'celebrity' trash.

My fav shows are currently GOT, Outlander, Vikings, The Last Kingdom, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, Mercy Street, Ray Donovan, Homeland. I was very excited by War and Peace, and would LOVE to work on those kind of shows.

I write in most 'arenas' - ghosting books, writing web copy, novels, screenplays, TV pilots, magazine interviews, bios, profiles !

I love European period projects and have several I'm working on set in France and Spain.

What I hear a lot about my work is about the 'fascinating, well-developed characters, sexy, dark, mature elements and unexpected twists.

I have a dark TV Miniseries 'Blood of Aragon' that goes to Inquisition Spain with a fascinating romance between a dashing Catholic knight and a beautiful Jewish alchemist. It's sexy, smart, historical and supernaturally dark.

"Double Identity," a novel set between 1940's France to 1970's New York City and Paris-- a recent book 'ghosting' I completed in 2015, was published and yielded 5 stars on Amazon and Barnes & Noble lists and the Dionosis First Novel Award.

This prompted me to begin my own series of 'Blood of Aragon' books, following the characters through subsequent reincarnations and I hope to rival the Outlander series in readability, sensuality, and excitement.

I sometimes think my flexibility is my strength--and weakness. For sure, it makes me a better writer.

As West Coast Editor for Latino Leaders Magazine, I write magazine features, cover entertainment and film.

My recent article on Patricia Riggen, director of "The 33" gathered good reviews.
I have written about celebs DeNiro, del Toro [both Benicio and Gulliermo] Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz...and more.

For my TV work, I write what I love-- historical dramas with a supernatural twist, exciting bio-dramas on famous people in history with hidden stories...and optimistic dramas with a political twist .

I have a few musical projects as well. I would love to see the Bollywood type musicals come stateside.

For more info I suggest you check out my website.

Unique traits: Character, dialogue and plot strong. I write books as well. Focused on Latino and Eurocentric projects. Huge History Buff. Love smart, elegant supernatural --ghosts, vampires. Great at romance, sensual, smart content.
