About Kaard

I'm a shooter, TV Camera Op/Utility, occasional video editor, and small-time producer working on all sorts of video activities and projects in from Phoenix to Colorado to SoCal. I run my own freelance production company, kb films, specializing in small budget productions (<10k) with a prominent documentary/journalistic style. I also am a Pac-12 Network employee, shooting sporting events at both ASU and UofA, as well as freelancing as a Camera Op. and utility for Phoenix crewing companies TRO and BBP, through which I've worked for networks such as ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC, NFL Network, CBS Sports Network, Time Warner SportsNet, Univision, and many others.

My recent big projects have been the Colorado River Re-Storied, which is a Seed Grant project sponsored by the Institute for Humanities at ASU. I am the project’s on-site videographer, and primarily produce visual ethnography from across the Colorado River watershed in the Southwestern US. In addition, I just wrapped up work on Overtaken 2 – Where Are They Now, a documentary about hope and sobriety in the aftermath of drug use and addiction, and it was recently screened at the 2014 Newport Beach Film Festival.

I'm also the DP of F11 Films, contribute to the Nomadic Agency, am an event videographer for SK Weddings, do photos for the ASU Cronkite School Cronkite Journal, and shoot for a handful of other awesome companies and producers around the western US. In my free time, I try to keep up to date with my passions of camping and traveling, and am the co-founder of the camping review website TentTalk, tenttalktime.com.
