Kevin Miller

The first movie I ever saw was Batman (1989). I was two years old. It ignited my love for movies and the Batman character. Fast forward to 2008, I am 18 years old. I see The Dark Knight and know immediately after it ends that I want to make movies. Because of these two events I view Batman as my guiding light in life. Rest assured, though, I watch more than just Batman movies. I'll actually watch pretty much anything.

My ambition since seeing The Dark Knight has been to make thought provoking action movies. To help achieve this ambition I am currently studying filmmaking at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I love the school and have been blessed with passionate teachers who have taught me the importance of every craft both on and off a film set.

Personally, I enjoy writing, editing and camera operating, but my passion is directing. I view the job as a means to harness the talent of whomever is in front of and behind the camera and inspire them to do their best work. Every job is important. Every decision is important.

Given that I am only 22 I am fully aware of the fact that I still have a lot to learn. But I plan to take every opportunity I get and use it to my advantage.
