Collins Award in Music-Composition .
After studying composition with Juno award-winning composer Dr. Derek Charke, audio engineering with Dr. Christoph Both and Don Chapman, and electronic music with Dr. Steven Naylor, Kevon turned his focus to his true passion, film scoring, by pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Music Composition for the Screen at Columbia College Chicago. Kevon is privileged to have studied under Oscar and Grammy Award winner Andy Hill, former VP of Music Production at Disney, and two-time Emmy-award winning composer/arranger Hummie Mann.
Following his studies, Kevon moved to Los Angeles, California where he has worked alongside composers Brian Tyler (Fast Five, Terra Nova, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3), Heitor Pereira (The Smurfs, Despicable Me) and Laurent Eyquem (Rage, The Red Tent, Finding Noah, and Momentum).
Equally skilled at making bold statements and subtle expressions with his music, Kevon strives to reveal the 'unspoken' of each story and ultimately 'serve the film' with his unique blend of orchestral, electronic, and sound design elements.
