Kristina Birk is a Ukrainian-born middle child of a Soviet cobbler and a nurse. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Kristina’s family moved from Ukraine, and started traveling internationally, directly leading to her ability to speak five languages. Kristina began her stage and writing path at age five.
Enrolling at the Academy of National Economy to study linguistics at age 16 helped Kristina fully commit to her growing interest towards writing.
After she completed her bachelor's degree in 2009 and received her Master’s in 2010 she went back to being on stage reentering the familiar performance reality through the Moscow Art Theatre Stanislavsky training first, then - Meisner's Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC.
Since Kristina's arrival to NYC in 2012, she's never stopped writing or performing. Her first biggest artistic inspiration became:
Orphans Productions LLC. (http://www.orphansproductions.com/) - a NY and LA based group of creatives producing their original content for film and theatre. Joining The Orphans led to her involvement with six original theatre and film projects produced by the group as a writer, actress, producer and a lot more.
In January 2016 Kristina relocated to Los Angeles, California where she is currently working on "Zenith" and "Black, White, Read", art house short films created in collaboration with the LA Orphans Productions.
