About Lacey

Originally from Texas, Lacey Tu received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University and worked on a cardiac care unit prior to relocating to Monaco in 2010 and beginning a new life and adventure with her husband. Here, she re-invented herself professionally, finding a way to continue serving others, but now within the world of film and non-profit foundations.

Beginning as an assistant and production coordinator for IEFTA founder, film maker and philanthropist, Marco Orsini, Lacey applied the judgment, organization and discipline she’d demonstrated in her medical career and as an elite athlete in her teens. Proving her ability in the chaotic world of film production (earning a production credit on the acclaimed 2015 documentary Gray Matters) Lacey was fast-tracked for greater responsibilities at IEFTA when she assumed managerial duties, just as its engagement with film education and capacity building in emerging countries worldwide exploded.

After supervising production for IEFTA and Orsini’s production company, across media and borders, in 2017, Lacey was tapped for administrative leadership at IEFTA, and was soon asked to join operational management of the organization. Along the way, she has overseen two critical international UN Refugee Campaigns (in print, broadcast and new media) while developing IEFTA’s engagement with the educational and industrial capacity of emerging economies in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Today, Lacey heads development for IEFTA and oversees all operational aspects of this distinguished, globally effective non-profit organization.
