Leslie Welles: directing credits include, The Tempest for the Mountain Shakespeare Festival; original direction for Palmer Davis’ Suburban Showgirl; In Search of Fellini, starring Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson/Dramalogue Actress Award), and 3 by Burwell, with Jenna and Bodhi Elfman. Having started as a theatrical actress/singer Leslie worked NYC’s Off-&, Off-Off B’way, L.A., National Tours, and cabarets & clubs internationally. Some of her favorite shows include Chapter Two, Fiddler on the Roof, A Day for Surprises, directed by Michael Shurtleff, Razzle-Dazzle directed by Lonnie Chapman, Carnival, and Tomorrow’s Broadway, a Look Back, directed by Tony Tanner, of which she was co-creator/co-producer, and functioning as a co-founder, co-producer and actress in the short-lived Taymon Welsh Theatre Company, with Stage 32 member Hiram Taylor. Leslie is Artistic Director/Founder of Artists Without Nets, a multi-discipline artist group that develops projects in all art mediums & creates performance art evenings.
