Samantha’s career has its roots in the theater world, where she first discovered her passion for character and story as a performer. While she now considers herself a reformed actor, her years of studying acting prove useful in every facet of her writing. She has produced plays and musicals in New York and is enthusiastic about the fast-paced and frenetic arena of production. Her full-length play THE GRIMM WORLD, which premiered in Los Angeles in 2012, is published by Stage Rights (stagerights.com) and continues to play in theaters around the country. In 2015 Samantha’s focus shifted to the television industry where she hopes to combine her producing experience with her passion for writing. Her original pilots have advanced in competitions such as the Austin Film Festival, Final Draft Big Break, and Sundance Episodic Story Lab. In 2016, her historical drama COMPANY TOWN was one of the top 5 pilots on the Blacklist website. She is currently a finalist in the Cinequest Film Festival and made the 2017 A-List, which showcases the best screenplays and TV pilots written by industry assistants, as voted on by other industry assistants. Samantha holds a BFA from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and is a graduate of the UCLA Professional Program for Writing in Television.
