I'm sorry if this has already been posted. I'm sure it has, but there are so many discussions here, so I thought I'd start a new thread. I live in Miami and have done my fair share of short films, student films, indie tv, commercials, etc. I've heard over and over that if you want to be a serious actor, you HAVE to move to NY or LA, nevermind if you've built a life wherever you are. Have you or anyone you know been able to build a moderately successful acting career from a regional base? If so, what are the resources you turn to in order to find compelling work? There has to be a way to find a balance between chucking it all to pursue your ultimate dream and having a relatively stable personal life. I'm bound and determined to find it!
