Amazing news

It was December 2013 when I auditioned for a feature film. In the end (May 2014), it was just one decision away between me and another guy. Which ended up with the other guy getting the role. For me it was an amazing opportunity, because I live on an island in the southern Caribbean and they gave me an opportunity to audition by submitting a video and we also had an interview via Skype. Now, about a year later, they emailed me and asked me to send a video audition again (if interested) for the sequel of the same movie I originally auditioned for. I'm so happy about this and will be sending my video audition next week. Any tips?

congrats Brandon. What sort of camera do you have access to? smartphone? My only advice for taping auditions is audio, audio, audio. Make sure you can be heard. Of course the lighting matters (nothing fancy, just make sure you can be seen) but most people make more audio mistakes than visual. Doesn't mean you need fancy mics, just make sure there is no background noise.

I was planning on filming it with my phone. Which is a Samsung Galaxy Note2.

That's gonna look great. Position the camera so that you can shoot yourself waist up. don't leave a lot of room over your head or chop your head off. As long as you are in a quiet room I bet the sound from the camera will be totally adequate. Break a leg!

Thank you so much!
