In the waiting room act like it isn't your first time. In the audition room let it be only about your capability and the work while you are in front of the camera. Before and after make contact, these are actual people and they are looking for your talented self.
Nah, Kyle use a reference from something you've done a thousand times. Casting is partly looking to see if we are professional, simple as that. Tell your acting buddies about all the ups and downs. I had a miserable period last year where I was so worn down from constant rejection that I was anxious each time I got an audition. It was awful and I'm glad I pulled myself out of it. Treat this like going into the same class every day, it's part of your life, it's exciting, it's risky, but it's so what you want to be doing.
On the practical side. You go in and sign in with your name, etc. Have a headshot and resume but a lot of people won't want it. Wear clothing that seems like the character would wear, but no props or extreme stuff. Be ready, you prepare the material before and review it in the waiting room. They call you, go in,be friendly but not needy, I suggest starting with student film for the experience, also low budget. Once you have some credits you can move on. There are a lot of books you might want to read before you move look at Amazon/acting and see what appeals to you.
I'm gonna have to do that and thank you for the advice, :) hopefully I'll have the pleasure of working with you one day. Ps- you should consider writing a book, you have a very good way with words!! :))
