How to be chill in times of worry

Here is a super brief article on how to calm yourself before an audition or interview. Feel free to print it and stick it in your purse or portfolio to read through before you go in if it helps you. How to just be chill in times of worry Just breathe, deeply Invite silence in Remind self that the only way to function highly is to be very relaxed The audience can see/feel the amount of focus you have, which vanishes with stress Know it all depends on now, so rise to the occasion Pay attention to something small- sounds, a detail of an object, light Practice smiling on the inside and letting it evaporating your stress Pretend you're relaxed, use the sigh of relief Go into wolf mode- or whatever animal you are or best suits the situation. Animals in the wild don't feel anxiety the way we do, they get into the zone. Yesterday I was a puma. Go to your happy place- remember a relaxing time, every detail of it. If you conquer your nerves, remember this experience and use it for next time. Tell yourself whatever comes, you'll own it. What mental techniques do you use? Caitlinburt.net
