Love the Camera - Learning Photography to Pose Better

I was tipped off about this book as being a great one for photographers doing studio shoots, but as I flipped through it, I realized - what a great resource for models and actors! https://www.amazon.com/Photographers-Guide-Posing-Techniques-Everyone-ebook/dp/B06XV55YYL/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=posing+book&qid=1589329212&sr=8-2

Understanding what the photographer is trying to get me to do made it all the easier to follow directions, and moving faster through the shots meant getting a TON of good-looking photos (including my current profile picture).

What references for other jobs have you come across and found super-helpful for your acting?

That book sure gets rave reviews. I think it could definitely up an actor's game. There are so many variables to filmmaking. This is one of them I admit I didn't think much about after moving from photography to film. The main reason being, the subject is in motion, so to me the perfect pose doesn't apply directly, but I can see how someone carries themselves in general would be more refined by keeping photography poses in mind. I will drop this idea to some actors I know.
