Hello everybody!
Would anybody be willing to give me some pointers on how I can improve my Professional Acting Resume? I am in the process of getting headshots, reworking my reel, and updating my acting portfolio for this year as I aim to take on any new projects that come along. I also intend to submit my resume to agencies and casting directors.
I have put my resume on my profile page. Any feedback would be appreciated! Happy New Year to you all and I hope the best for all artists to work through these crazy times!

When you say reworking your reel, what do you mean? Have you been looking for auditions or been actively performing?

Hey, John Silver! Thanks for reaching out! If you don't get direct feedback, I would suggest reviewing others' resumes as well and taking notes on what looks good.
For my two cents, I would recommend including a small thumbnail of your headshot on your resume so people remember your face - and I would suggest a set of professional headshots as well. Also, I would consider an opening statement about you so casting directors get a sense of who you are, not just what you do. It could include where you're from, what you are known for/ what you do best, and what challenge you'd like to take on.

Oh, and you may want to include where you work locally - so, even if you are located in NYC, for example, if you are willing to work as a local in Boston or Philly, include those as well.
Jameson Martel - I am looking for auditions right now.

Thank you Karen! I've been looking for pointers even as I review my resume and the only thing I've been getting in return are links to websites to pay for creating resumes.

Crap! If I'd know you were in Port Saint Lucie I could have got you in as a extra in my last feature. We only have a day or so left of filming unfortunately. If I get anymore projects down your way, I'll pull ya in on it ok! The director intends on making more films in West Palm Beach. I also made a theater connection out of Jacksonville if you're up for stage work. :D
