Notes from a non-romantic. Yes, I have been accused and found lacking. . I admit I can’t write Rom-Coms but I like their charm.
So I took a chance and watched an unheralded little movie ; The Locksmith.
Couple things:
A complete unlikely ( it has to be unlikely ) simple plot line built into an entertaining movie.
I could not count the times I said “Oh no she didn’t.” Got to throw in the unexpected often in a rom-com.
Sharp natural dialogue. Also a screenwriting lesson for changing beats in a conversation. Not one single conversation ends up where you think it is going.
The camera never intrudes; instead you feel as if you are there. For me it was a lesson on how to make an entertaining movie on a budget. *Some of us are hardheaded,
Cinematography: Daniel Vecchione

So, you didn’t make The Locksmith, but you watched it, correct?
Karen, I read your comment twice. Then for clarity I made an edit.
