The Red Priest - Reviews are in!

So, the long week of Nov 9 - 16 finally finished: Tuesday all day tech with a Dress Rehearsal to follow, Final Dress on Wednesday under "show Conditions", Preview (Company first night) on Thursday, Publicized First Night on Friday, Saturday evening and Sunday Matinee. Very tiring, very emotional and very enjoyable. Our COVID-19 houses were only a third of usual capacity, but full or almost full each performance.

I spent the last three days resting up and doing some interviews to promote the rest if the production as well as the usual day job hours (with some catch up from the week before!). Now, we are all ready to go back into the 2nd weekend. I took Wednesday off from Script Study, but ran the play alone each day for the last two days and will again, today. Early call today for a complete line run, before tonight's performance, followed by a 'Talk Back' with the Audience. Another wonderful, tiring day in the Theatre.

Reviews started to come in on Monday, which may help to add to our audience figures for the upcoming weekend. I was most pleased by the overall positive reviews I read concerning the overall Production and the highlighting of character traits that I specifically wanted Vivaldi to show. They didn't get everything right, but enough to ensure that all of the work we went through actually shone:

OK, that's it. Have a fantastic next few weeks, everyone. Here's hoping that your end-of-November is as exciting as mine!

On the way to the Theatre last night, new COVID restrictions came in and we have been close down for at least 2 weeks. Take care and stay safe out there, everyone.
