Acting : What are your strengths as an actor? by Suzanne Bronson

What are your strengths as an actor?

It's time to humble brag. Would love to hear from those who are working actors as well. What are your strengths as an actor? Are you good at improv? Comedic or dramatic?

I think I am better at dramatic scenes then comedic ones. My strength as an actor is being able to stay connected to my partner(s) and stay in the scene. My emotions are real and I feel them deeply.

Nikoline Bangen

Hi Suzanne! I hope you are doing well! I think my strengths are my imagination (I have an extreme imagination, and as such I am able to put myself into any situation and feel all the feelings realistically even though I may be staring at a green screen or the wall), and my genuine interest and willingness to learn all aspects and areas of the industry. I am currently immersing myself in filmmaking - learning how to write, produce and work on set in general - because I think it will both make me better at making my own opportunities, and a better actor and person as I have an understanding of everyone's roles on set - as well as massive respect for each and every one. :)

Suzanne Bronson I love the term humble brag. I can totally see how you connecting to real emotions is an asset. so important to acknowledge our strengths in this business. I am also good at staying connected and being present to my scene partner. I have presence and depth. Gosh, feel a bit self-conscious now

I've definitely found that taking improv classes has helped me as an actor. Also, taking acting classes have helped me as a writer; it gives you more of a perspective on the script.

That's great advice Jackie Letkowski

My strengths include I'm a natural actor and storyteller. It's in the genetics. I've appreciated the help of others over the years to focus those abilities on roles and scripts.

Jessie Fahay

Playing strong and witty ladies. I also make a producer and director's life easy by taking direction quickly and being calm and grateful on set.

Suzanne Bronson

Bumping this back to the top. It's a good thread.

William Joseph Hill

For me, being a good listener and being willing to use my imagination when taking direction has really helped me grow.
