Still working? Julianne Moore. Couldn't pick just one film, but probably Still, Alice. That movie floors me. Deceased would be Bette Davis, All About Eve.

I liked Julianne Moore in a few movies, including "Evolution."

Cate Blanchett does it for me. Favorite role is probably the cameo she did in Hot Fuzz, always cracks me up: "I'm not Janine".

If we're talking all time then I think Lilian Gish takes the cake. Her performance in The Wind is incredible.

I can list a number of great actresses from yesteryears but am currently still waiting to be impressed...

Mine is Patricia Arquette - 'true Romance' its my all-time favorite film and my other favorite film is 'birdman' i love Emma Stone in it .

Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct written by Joe Eszterhas who I aim to meet later this year, Sylvia Simms in Ice Cold In Alex and Jodie Foster in Hannibal. Different genres/eras but all strong intellectual women. (In different ways). Whether antagonist is a psycho cannibal or malefactor the desert or a suspect is media’s elite where real antagonist hides in a shadow, the wit will out!

All time favourites: Ingrid Bergman, Dame Diana Rigg, from the 1980s, Helen Slater, 1990s Catherine Zeta Jones and more recently Zendaya. I believe we need more committed actresses who stay in the industry for longer and are appreciated by casting that will allow actresses of all generations to be involved in contemporary scripts and storylines. The lack of relevant roles for mature actresses is of concern and the need for more proactive casting for actresses above 35 is very much so necessary.

Neil, I enjoyed the role Catherine Zeta Jones' played in "The Terminal." I didn't know Zendaya was a singer until after I saw her in "Spiderman." I thought she was just an actress. I try to include roles in my scripts for women who are over 35. I try to cover many age ranges actually.

I've seen all of those actresses except Danielle Moné, Aray. Viola Davis and Kerry Washington are two of my favorite actresses.

I checked out Danielle's roles, Aray. I didn't know she was on "Chicago Med" until you mentioned it. I've only seen a few episodes. I mainly watch "Chicago P.D."

I haven't seen "Please Stand By", but I'll be sure to check it out!

I would definitely agree with Viola Davis and Kerry Washington, and would add Queen Latifah, Issa Rae, and Octavia Spencer. I grew up seeing Kathy Bates, Maggie Smith, Angelica Houston, Linda Hamilton, and Angela Bassett as my silver screen icons. Strength, charisma, and a look that wasn't traditional beauty but rather an undeniable presence. And I'm all about that on-screen presence!

Those are talented actresses, Kay. Dakota Fanning did a fantastic job in "Please Stand By."
