Does anyone remember watching a cartoon, whereby the first and last act is done with live characters?

Yes, there was a cartoon in the 70s called Adventures of Huckleberry Finn where the main characters were live and everything else was animated.
Would "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" count? And I do remember "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"
Thank you very much. I'll check those two cartoons to see how they were put together.
I think the Pagemaster started and ended with live actrionMacaulay Culkin going to a library and leaving at the end. But most of the acts were animated - the live-action was mainly bookends.
Hi Everyone. I've been checking around for more animation movies with live characters in them. I'm amazed at how much information we have at our fingertips, but it's nice to get it from another writer once in a while. Sometimes it sparks, "I didn't know that!"
I have a few more live character cartoon movies that were made over the years. Everyone knows Mary Poppins (1964), Osmosis Jones, Pete Dragon, Enchanted, The Lego Movie, Bedknob & Broomsticks, The Sponge Bob Square Pants, The nightmare before Christmas (93), James and the Giant Peach (96). Will mine hit it big? I'll need a little SERENDIPITY along the way.
Great question, Claude Gagne ! Oh, man, I used to LOVE Bedknobs & Broomsticks!
