Depending on the style and technique. We were producing 30 - seconds to 1 minute of footage a week per animator at Cartoon Network on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends in Flash, whereas I have read that Pixar's quota is four seconds a week for their features.

it really depends on whether it's 2D, 3D, simple, complex, low budget, high budget. 1 second of animation can cost from $50 to $50,000
