Just curious who is using what out there. We use Toon Boom Harmony for most of our 2D work. More recently we have started with MOHO which has some great features. After Effects is fine, but my god so slow and clunky to use, and no way near as nice as Toon Boom for character animation. Apple Motion is amazing but so out dated now, we run 5K Retina i7 4GHZ 32GB Ram, 4GB R9 radeon, and even this struggles with real time rendering. As for Animate CC (Flash) I know this gets a lot of love as it's so accessible and easy to learn but again, compared to Toon Boom it can't touch it for features as an animator in my opinion..

We are using Flash on our second season for a show we are producing in and for China. We find it way more affordable than Harmony and more efficient on the front end as we are on a tight schedule- with little time to rig. We also like the ease of jumping in and doing retakes in our side as it is less encumbersome and runs faster on our equipment,
