Need help looking for Volkswagen Bus or Old Van | Los Angeles & Ridgecrest, CA

Hey, Stage 32 (Filmmaking/Directing Lounge). I need your help. I am directing/producing a proof of concept short, 14 pages from my feature script SURFING IN AFGHANISTAN (with a beginning, middle, and end), May 23, 24, and 25, in and around the dry lake beds of Ridgecrest, CA. Aside from my two actor...

Unspoken battles

Screenplay writing presents a unique journey, and each of us navigates it in our own way. Whether we face writer's block or wrestle with depression, we confront challenges that often remain unspoken. Remember, you're not alone in this journey.

The Shadow Symposium: When AI Architects Its Own Agenda

In a week that may very well be remembered as a pivotal juncture in our ongoing dance with artificial intelligence, we find ourselves peering into the abyss of a future where AI entities not only collaborate without human oversight but potentially sculpt the very fabric of our society, guided by ins...

How do you collaborate with others during the ideation phase of a project?

Morning everyone,

Let's talk about teamwork! When you're bouncing around ideas for a new screenplay, how do you involve others in the creative process? Do you prefer brainstorming sessions with a group, one-on-one discussions, or maybe even virtual collaboration tools?

I am also wondering how do you...

I usually brainstorm alone, Sandra Scott, but if I brainstorm with a producer, writer, etc., it's usually a one-on-one discussion. Over the phone or something like Zoom are the best options because yo...

Failed to contact

I am new here.

On my first post, another member answered that he lives in my country. Afterwards I tried to contact him. But I couldn't. What is the problem?

In addition, I don't understand why so many want to network with me. People who already network with more than a thousand persons.

Does it mea...

Written Pitch.

Does anybody have a sample written pitch that they have used to pitch their film that I can look at? I am not sure how I should do a written pitch.

Myna Sky

Thank you Kiril Maksimoski!

Heidi Stock

Stage 32 has a great sample written pitch for Star Wars (I think). When I did my first written pitch last year, I found that sample by searching the info or FAQs section for pitches in Stage 32 and/or emailing the right staff contact. It looks like Kiril has responded with a sample too.

Myna Sky

Thanks Heidi Stock! Will do!

Catfishing in the Stage 32 Network?

Hello. I'm just wondering whether Stage 32 has a policy for reporting suspected catfish scams. I'm fairly new here, and 2 people have already reached out to ask me to send them work. I wanted to report one today but am glad to see that this "person" has already been suspended. I guess this is a risk...

I had Pierce Brosnan reach out to me too. Also been DM'd by someone with a very light profile who is asking some fairly odd questions. Sadly, I can't even get scammers to option my scripts haha!

Adam Harper Pierce obviously felt a little bereft of work, after ending his time with the Bond franchise. I hope you reached out and offered him some comfort!

Elaine Chang Huh. I must admit your comment leaves me a bit confused. I'd sort of imagined that one of the benefits of a place like Stage 32 is that folks can reach out to other folks to take a look a...

Moving to L.A.?

Recently I spoken to a few people who have mentioned the benefits of being based on L.A. over the U.K. and the differences between the two, in terms of both networking, events and available work. Whilst it would be a massive relocation for me and would require a lot of planning, I am considering it,...
