RB.. honestly as a long time fan of Roku, this device while very fast and solid is nothing more than a rip off of Apple TV which forces the users to be Prime members. The search function works ONLY with Amazon content (Roku search works across all movie channels). Also you cannot make changes on the home page with respect to channels, etc. I think this is a brilliant move for Amazon but for me, it's just not a device I'd buy especially since there are over 1000 channels on Roku and my Roku 3 is plenty fast and much smaller too :)
Amazon are being quite aggressive with their streaming strategy. They have upset a lot of UK customers lately with their changes to LoveFilm, a DVD rental and streaming company they acquired. But these guys have outstanding success in both print and music media now, if anybody knows the most profitable way forward, it should be them.
