What would you suggest to do for a good reel for a 12 year old girl with a couple bucks and not the best camera? Yeah. I'm kinda limited. Thanks! -Olivia (:
The questions isn't the camera it's the audio. Camera choice can be looked at as artistic now. If you can buy a shotgun mic and your camera has a mic jack and shoots HD(720p-1080p) you are good to go. Just grab some friends and shoot some fun scenes.
^ Best advice ^ get volunteers. if you have or writing a really good script it will show on camera even if it isnt the best. also actors that are naturally comfortable in front of the camera. find friends who do drama classes etc and audition them :) see who you like best
The best thing is just have fun with it. Test things out and play with film making. That includes editing. Don't stress about friends acting just the passion will drive the project. I wish I was able to make a movie when I was 12. Good luck sweetheart.
Thanks for the advice! -Olivia(:
