Virtual Reality: The new Medium for film?

Hello all; Im curious about what the various opinions from our industry looks like when it comes to Virtual Reality. It's gaining alot of momentum in the game industry right now but is it to become a film medium as well? If so, is it a good or bad thing? Will it allow us to do more or restrict us? Does it have any ethical concerns? All are welcome to comment!

Hi Lyse! Thanks for commenting, until you did I thought I was the only one who had really started thinking about this so far. I agree that it would definitely be advantageous, Im a little worried as to how de-humanizing it might be but either way I also would love to explore it and discover what lies ahead for VR/AR in film!

It would be interesting, but with the interactive aspect, I can't help but be reminded of Bradbury's Fahrenheit-451. The whole TVs on every wall, being forwarded copies of the script for a given television program and be "included" in the show - but even with that, I would love to find interesting ways of making it a less dystopian reality. :)
