As I sit at the airport, enduring the prolonged wait for my delayed three-hour flight, I scan the surroundings in search of someone who might make eye contact—a potential companion for conversation. Three hours—an ample stretch of time. My plan: fill it with reading, checking emails, and listening to podcasts, especially after a day that began at 5 am and now stretches into midnight. Anyone will do; I'm not picky, just in need of some human interaction. However, I can't help but reflect on how our connections have shifted in this new era. People go to great lengths to avoid conversation, immersing themselves in laptops, phones, and endless calls.

After minutes of observing, a kind girl approaches me, prompted by my unintentional obstruction of the charging outlets. She needs to charge her iPad and politely asks for space. I oblige, moving my belongings. This is my chance—the door I've been waiting for to initiate a conversation. I quickly grab my stuff and sit next to her. In just two minutes, I learn about her heritage, occupation, and the reason for her presence.

This friendly lady, expresses genuine interest in me and my story. After an hour-long conversation, as we prepare to leave, she wishes me good luck. During the 55-minute flight back, I reflect on our interaction and realize she is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. She asked numerous questions about me and truly wanted to hear my story. It was liberating to connect with a stranger in a world where everyone seems content to stay within their little invisible bubbles.

So, here's to breaking free from the invisible bubbles we've created around ourselves. Let's share our stories, weave the threads of our experiences, and discover the beautiful tapestry of connection that binds us all. In a world that often encourages isolation, let's be the outliers who celebrate the richness that comes from genuinely knowing one another. After all, in the shared narratives of our lives, we find common ground and build bridges that span beyond our individual journeys. Let's share our stories and, in doing so, embrace the profound truth that we are all interconnected, arrayed sunbeams illuminating the world with the collective brilliance of our shared human experience.
