Hi, all! I am finishing up Jim Butcher's new(ish) book, The Aeronaut's Windlass. A really fun, tightly written romp through a fantasy steampunk world. Interesting characters, a neat political interplay between "kingdoms" (called "spires" in this), and a cool mechanical/magical science hybrid that powers the world. The dialogue is also very tight. Non-fiction, I've re-read Julia Cameron's excellent book, The Artist's Way. I read this book 20 years ago, when I was first becoming a professional composer. I think the book is wonderful. It's full of actionable habits and drills that you begin to do, to remove the "roadblocks and junk" in your brain that interferes with your ability to create. It's a combination of creative philosophy and actual creative drills that you can do. I highly recommend it. Mike

Not a book, but I'm reading the play, "A Raisin in the Sun," by Lorraine Hansberry
