Cinematography : Sony a6300 by Tyler Del Cont

Sony a6300

Would the Sony a6300 be a good first camera to get, that has 4k video recording and for the price?

Juan Abad

I think so yeah. But one thing you should be aware of is the overheating problems that come with shooting at 4K with the smaller Sonys. It could really put a hindrance to your production if you are waiting for the camera to cool down. And sometimes, there's no time to waste. If you're going to be shooting in controlled environments, the a6300 should be fine. Just remember its limitations.

Yes it is in my opinion I own a a6000 and I am happy with this camera (even if I stop using it since I have a c100 mkii) . The a6300 have a 4k image that is really sharp from what I have seen as for the funtion it is pretty good and easy to use. But as much as it is a great camera there is some cons which which is low battery life and the global shutter in my opinion the other things I can deal with but that is the two big factor that I hate.
