Composing : A Heavy Metal Requiem Mass by George DeLorean

George DeLorean

A Heavy Metal Requiem Mass

Hello one and all. I'm posting here at the behest of Karen Kay Ross. This is a huge project I started a decade ago, which is now in its fourth and final iteration. With a run time at about 90 minutes, it's neither too long, or too short. It features six soloists, a sometimes polyphonic SATB choir, a 100+ piece orchestra, and a standard four piece Metal band to bring the extra heaviness. There's so much going into this that I'd like to chat with anyone interested in learning more. Thank you for your time.

Roger Hewett

Wow. Yes, a huge project indeed. What is your ultimate goal? Live performance? I'm curious.

George DeLorean

God willing, yes that is the ultimate goal. However the premier will be with virtual performers.

Sabina Petra

I'd love to hear it!

George DeLorean

Hi, Sabina. Would you like to learn more about it? I'm open to answer any questions you may have.

Karen "Kay" Ross

Such a cool project, George DeLorean! What are you up to next?

Linwood Bell

That's always fun. I've done many arrangements for rock bands when they get the chance to work with an orchestra and choir. I'll be glad when the concerts return...

George DeLorean

Hi, Karen. I have many projects in the pipeline. I have some standalone pieces, a musical, and three operas at the minimum.

George DeLorean

I'll be thrilled, Linwood!
