Composing : Ennio Morricone Gets a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame by Bill Costantini

Ennio Morricone Gets a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Congrats to the composer who may be the greatest of all time. Mr. Morricone will be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next Friday. I might have to drive out to see that. His star will be between Sycamore and La Brea on the north side of the boulevard. I'd love to see his recording studio in Rome, where he has recorded the majority of his over 500 music scores over the last 50 years. My personal favorites are the scores to Cinema Paridiso, and Once Upon a Time in America. Congratulazioni, Signor Morricone!

Ennio is being featured in NYC in (ma che cosa!) a disco night! Beato lui!!! [Born in Rome, Italy on November 10, 1928 (age 87) -- God bless him.]

Bill Costantini

It's also the week of the L.A. Italia Film and Art Fest, where he's being honored as well. And hopefully he'll win another Oscar for The Hateful Eight on the 28th. Buona fortuna, Signor Morricone!

Nice to see this great composer get the recognition he deserves! I loved The Hateful Eight, his score was brilliant. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/forget-leo-en...

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly; Once Upon A Time in the West. No ProTools. No Cubase. No Digital Performer. No Logic Pro. No Mac Computer. No Windows DAW. No hard disk recording. Just Ennio. Enough said!

Naoise David Sheridan

Yeah. He's old school like Williams.
