Being a PA on set

Hey guys, I was just curious if anyone has advice on becoming a PA on set or trying to find PA positions? I live in Atlanta, and I can't seem to find any resources on finding positions. Unfortunately, I've never been a PA and would like to become one to gain industry experience and knowledge as I try to become a filmmaker. Thanks guys.

Hey Jarrod, you should reach out to Kenny Chaplin- He's amazing and is a former PA to Ang Lee, Terrence Malick, Ridley Scott and David Mamet. He's currently teaching a class called Breaking In Below The Line – Everything You Need To Know and he talks all about how to break in as a PA. Hi Jarrod, Have you tried any of the Local IATSE's. They offer safety classes and sometimes have OJT opportunities with local colleges. They help you to get they hours and experience and prepare you to join a local. PA' ing is a great way into the film industry.
