Hello! I write from Italy. For almost two years working as an assistant director and a freelance writer. I have not found a production company (many say that this country is corrupted by ideologies of power). In any case, don't give up. I wonder if anyone could help me understand how to make the first steps for a job abroad. Who should I contact if I have not knowledge? I hope to find someone who has lived through the same experience, more or less.

Hello, Anastasia. I'm no expert on this, but I imagine Visa issues come into play here. We've had quite a few webinars on the subject which can be found under Education.

It's hard to offer advice without knowing how far you're willing to travel, what you can afford, what kind of 'day' job you might need to sustain yourself while look for work in the film business, etc. Good luck.
