Hi everyone on Stage 32,I'm Daniel a filmmaker and an emerging film director from Italy.I'm just now starting to develop the idea for what it is going to become I hope my first feature film; first the general concept and then on with the script.Any advice for colleagues who are more or less in the same situation?Thank you in advance and happy to be part of Stage 32. Daniel

Daniel- Some book suggestions;

1)Reel to Deal- By Dov SS Simmons

2)The Screenwriters Bible- By David Trottier

3)Bankroll- By Tom Malloy

They helped me. They can help you.

Thank you Steven. That was helpful.

G Vinay

Few face difficulties on deciding how to begin a movie while few are stuck with the climax. See your strengths whether its on the beginning or the climax. If you are confident about either of these, you can give a start.

Thank you Robert and G Vinay. One thing for G Vinay though, did you mean difficulties with the script's beginning and climax? The actual shooting and the various problems presenting at the beginning and sometimes at the end (climax). Or perhaps you were referring to production (money problems/budget) or something else? I am not really sure I have got your meaning.

G Vinay

Yes its difficulties you may face either at the beginning or climax. Its hard to decide the alternatives available. I would suggest you to rewrite the same script 2 to 3 times so that its refined. A well deserved script is out by then
