Script Development

How long is the average script for a 90-120 minute movie?

Richard "RB" Botto

Rule of thumb is each page equals a minute.

Vasco Phillip de Sousa

If the script is correctly formatted in the traditional screenplay format, it should be about 90-120 pages. However, sometimes screenwriters might over-write or under-write a scene, or the director or editor might end up changing the length of the film. When re-writing, it makes sense to play the film out, to see if it's paced correctly on paper.
