I have a few short questions:
I am a director from germany planning to move to LA when "the time is right" - aka. I need more stuff done in my own country. But for longterm planning: Can a non american citizen or somebody with a greencard or an O2 join the DGA or do I have to wait for my citizenship? Does that mean that I cant work with say Disney because I am no DGA member so I gotta wait long enough to get citizenship to then register with DGA to than be able to work with the 6 big ones? (Closed Shop)
Some help would be amazing. Am I running into the wrong direction anyways? How much importance would you grant a DGA membership?

Go visit the DGA site, after the site loads there's a link on the left 'Becoming a member' : www.dga.org

You don't need to be an American citizen to join DGA. You simply need a DGA signatory Employer to pay you and pay DGA fees.
