Why do they keep destroying all my cars in movies and TV series

This is actually not as much of a question as it is a contemplation and I found it funny so I thought I'd post.

Anyway almost anytime I watch any movie with an action car chase they seem to mainly destroy one of the cars that I own.

Most of the it's a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2000. They love wrecking these ones. Almost anytime an SUV has to fall into a ditch or get hit by another car or something it's this one.

Sometimes the car that's parked by the side of the road and where they love to throw people onto the hood and into the wind shield it's a Chrysler Sebring (Dodge in the US) 2004. They love wrecking these by parking them and either crashing into them or throwing stuff onto them. Sometimes they get squished by other vehicles.

The last one of mine I keep seeing are C4 Corvettes and this one hurts the most but it also happens the least. They love sticking theme in scenes where buildings get demolished and there always seems to be a C4 stuck under some wreckage or something.

I actually get it the same reason or should I say one of the reasons that all these cars were appealing to me also makes them affordable to wreck probably because they were so common and are not very expensive. Except the C4 which was not as common as the other two.

Well I just found it funny that I own three cars that I keep seeing getting wrecked on TV.

On the other hand I do love to use them in the stuff that I shoot because they stand out in this environment for not being all that common and they stand out.

The funny thing is that the Jeep is the most common of them all. The Sebring is the least common with only 6 of them being in the whole country and the funny thing is that there are around 40 C4's in the country.

Anyway funny stuff.

Do you see your car get wrecked in movies?

I had a rusty Mustang Mach 1 in high school, the Hero car in "Gone in Sixty Seconds" movie from 1970s.

Also had a fake Buick Grand National - Dom Torreto drives a BGN in Fast N Furious 4.

Always wanted a white Ferrari Testarossa (Miami Vice) and a black Pontiac Trans Am (Knight Rider).
