In a report 2 weeks ago, Digital Entertainment Group reported this: As expected, disc sales continued to fall, with consumer spending on Blu-ray Disc and DVD purchases in the first six months of 2014 down 8.2%, to $3.26 billion from $3.56 billion in the first half of 2013. But observers say that’s largely a function of a continued drop in price, with Home Media Magazine market research showing the number of discs sold to consumers in the first six months of the year is actually up by more than 2%. $3.56 billions sound like there's still money in the US market for DVD and Bluray to me.
I guess the main point I am interested in, which works to you comment about under 10k units, is that we want to sell off our own site but don't want to do the duplication and fulfillment. With a return of at least $10/unit depending on the retail price, it makes more economic sense. Thanks for the Great Lakes Media intro.
Yep. Didn't see your point about Indie titles initially. Just one film at this point; not a catalogue. I came across Kunaki who does small volume duplication and fulfillment on an individual order basis. We're still getting over NZ$20/unit here (NZ) as ON DEMAND/EST offerings are still slim on the ground--a couple of years behind US. Local distributors are still making good money here off DVD/Bluray.
Inbox me ...
Because there is still money in it, even in the US.

Tui, I usually point my clients to Disc Makers (www.discmakers.com). Very good prices overall. They do duplication and replication.
Thanks for that, Rick.
