Hello. I am looking to distribute a completed documentary about a blind horse rider. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yvette, You should submit it to several appropriate festivals and begin researching various distributors that put out documentaries. Area23a puts out documentaries and event-driven and issue-based films. HBO is known for pushing documentaries for Oscars. The more festivals - especially BIG ones that you play - the better your chances to qualify for an Oscar, which will help you with distribution. But, for a documentary, I do think you should be playing festivals - a good amount of them. Hope this helps. GOD BLESS and STAY FRESH!
Thank you Sam. I appreciate the info. I have submitted it to a couple festivals, but not nearly enough.
Doc NYC is a pretty good one : http://www.docnyc.net/
