Documentary Short Distribution

Hello all. I am looking for some input. Does anyone have suggestions for representation or distribution outlets for documentary shorts? I am the co-producer of a doc that explores the connections between the town of Seneca Falls, New York, and Bedford Falls, the setting of It's a Wonderful Life. We are seeking distribution in advance of the 75th anniversary of IAWL. Thank you!

Hi Francis,

Distribution for a documentary is tough to find. But you can list it in Amazon ask your friends or whomever you know to write a review to trigger the Amazon search algorithm to push your film to the first page. List it in FB & IG by a paid promotion with a minute video to get more viewers. Eventually, Amazon will add to their Prime members for an amount both agree upon.

If not, find another producer to market for you to his contacts for a back-end royalty arrangement.
