Hi, I have been going to Cannes for quite a few years and to me it’s the biggest, most prestigious, fun film festival in the world and where finance, distribution deals can be done, new friends and contacts made and then there’s the yacht parties, the glamour, the red carpet film screenings, the stars etc etc. But there’s also the sleaze and men still definitely outnumber women. I have taken my very lovely young daughter and her friend and the attention round them was unbelievable, they could have been A listers themselves. So sadly some people just go to talk bullshit, make false promises and hit on women.
There are dubious party where a lot of shit happens in an industry that can be wonderful but also tainted by Weinstein like characters to this day. They’re just a little more careful.
So my friend and I have set up a Women’s Only Villa at Cannes. a place of safety, respite and support where women will support other women. We’re having morning intentions, meditation, workshops in the day and an exclusive party on the beach. of course if you want to go off and party you are free to do that too. Everything put on at the villa is optional.
Do you ladies on here think this is a good idea another year, is it something you’d like? share our expertise, support each other? We are nearly full but also thinking of rolling this out to other major festivals,Venice, Berlin and Sundance on our potential list.
Do get in touch if you like the idea.

And here are blogs on networking (www.stage32.com/blog/tags/networking-41). My biggest tip is be active in the Lounges (comment on people's posts and make your own posts). That's how I do most of my networking and that's how I get most of my jobs and opportunities.

I haven't been active for a while since I've been busy with multiple projects. I've been wanting to share my work but haven't been able to given the prices on sharing my work the way stage 32 brings them up in my emails. I wouldn't even know where to begin.
