Dear Fellow Industry professionals, I'm currently working a crowd funding campaign for a film I'm producing. If anyone has any helpful tips, resources and contacts they could share with me, that would be much appreciated. Regards, Alistair.

Alistair - I'd recommend watching some of our On Stage With RB broadcasts: Crowdfunding is a popular topic we discuss. https://www.stage32.com/webinars/on-stage-with-rb
Alistair - You may already have the following in hand but in case not, the crowdfunding proposals which I've chosen to back always have one thing in common. The film makers had already put in their own significant time, effort, and (to the degree they could) money before they sought crowdfunding. So, for example, I made a donation to a writer-director who had shot and edited the first 20 minutes of her proposed film herself and posted it. (She asked for in the 40K range to complete her film and she got it. Her completed film is in the marketplace now.) OK, perhaps not possible in your case. But do what you can before you look for money. The 'Hi, I'm a really nice, enthusiastic broke film maker. Please send money.' approach (What I call the 'I'm a cute puppy. Please pet me.' appeal) doesn't cut it with me.
Hi Douglas, You should watch the teaser trailer which I directed; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqUSh8Qadt8 I will be investing over 10 grand into the project myself. I am mainly using the kickstarter campaign for publicity and to spread the word of mouth before the premier. Regards, Alistair.
Alistair. I like the trailer. In particular, I like that you get what's at stake in your story out front right away, your voice over is well spoken and clearly audible (I can't tell you how many trailers I've watched in which the VO can't be heard over the music on my system.), and the music definitely works. Thanks for the link to it.
Thank you Douglas for your positive feedback.
