Fully Funded in a Day

You read that right, so you can be sure this isn't a promotion. A friend of mine launched a kickstarter project today to get a book printed. The raise wasn't huge ($13K) but big enough. A few things contributed to and maybe are solely responsible: 1) He has a fairly large group of followers 2) The rewards were simple and generous. In other words for $20 you could get the book he is printing – probably a discount from what it would be in specialty stores. 3) He ended the pitch with a way to give back Tom isn’t the brightest man in business – he’s a twin and we used to joke that between the two of them they shared one brain but I give him all due credit and congratulations on his successful campaign and I hope you all learn from these 3 simple steps. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tombancroft/art-of-tom-bancroft-vol...

That's awesome. Were his followers on FB? Or...Currently looking into Crowdfunding but having a following is an issue right now. Thanks!

He does have a big facebook following, but he is also very active in other online communities that specialize in his type of art. He hosts a weekly podcast, and offers online webinars so a lot of the following comes from his personal website.

That's great! I'm working to get a following on FB and Twitter - so that will take some time. Thank you for sharing this information. :)
