Pitch Video for my Short Film

Hello everyone, I wanted to get some advice on doing a pitch video for a short I'm developing. This would be my first pitch video and short so any advice would be appreciated. The general idea for the pitch, besides the obvious sections of explaining the story and what I would need to raise to make the project is explain why I'm making this movie using examples of things I'm passionate about that relate to the project. (i.e. mixed martial arts, Kung fu movies and tv shows) as well as use clips from various sources to show what style I am going for with the project. Is this a good route to go or will I run into issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Where will you post the pitch video? Will you be using it only for meetings?

my plan is to post it on my indie gogo page which in turn will be uploaded to youtube/vimeo for people to view along with links to the page for people to contribute.

I don't know how often rights owners peruse Indiegogo in search of improper usage. On YouTube, as we all know, sometimes the rights holders force you to take down unlicensed footage, and sometimes they let it slide. If I were you, I'd email/Tweet Indiegogo's customer service peeps and ask if you can put up a rip reel or if their experience is that rights owners will force you to take it down.

If you're putting a rip reel on Vimeo and password-protect it, I doubt rights holders will find you and ask you to take it down.
