Hello All,
I'm not a writer of any kind, just a biologist with a story to tell - one that I hope makes a big difference. I'm struggling with the same problem that Adam McKay struggled with - "trying to describe the indescribable". In this article, he called that an "impossible mission": https://www.hcn.org/issues/54.2/climate-change-how-do-you-make-a-movie-about-a-hyperobject?utm_source=wcn1&utm_medium=email
This video of mine scratches the surface on how, and why, I'm on a quest, like the protagonist, to describe the indescribable due to the complexities of life, the challenges before us...and human nature.

Welcome to Stage 32! May I suggest posting in the jobs board "paid or unpaid" for the specific collaborator role you are looking to fill. OR - ask in the Writer's Lounge and Screenwriting lounge. You just may make the connection you need. My plecostomus, Pete - says hello!
Hi, Dave Cannon. It's great to meet you. What type of fish are you holding in your photo?

Hello Maurice - that's a Chinook salmon.

Thanks Cherelynn! Tell Pete I said hello, also.
Hi, Dave Cannon. How have you been? The Chinook salmon has a beautiful color.

Hi Dave, what's your plan once you have your screenplay?

The truth is, Billy, that I will NEVER have a screenplay since I don't have a penchant for prose. What I have is a personal story that needs to be told - not for me, but for the environment's sake. And, it's not really for the environment's sake - it will do fine on its own - tis effort is for mankind's sake. I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to find a collaborator on a treatment that I hope to get into the hands of someone connected in the film industry.
Have you tried to use Cherelynn Baker's suggestions to find a collaborator, Dave Cannon?

I haven't gone that route yet - but will soon. I've been writing directly to folks. Seems, however, that no one is willing to take the time to understand the complexity of it all. It's the type of film that would be difficult to convey in a one-sentence logline...and, way too many people these days are impatient.

Maurice - I see that you, "love to write strong, flawed characters and unique stories." Well, I think that the story I'm trying to get told fits that bill to a T. We should talk. How about sending me an E-mail? dcannon4fish@earthlink.net

Hi Dave, okay
I'm working on some projects right now, Dave Cannon, but I'll bookmark your post. Maybe we'll be able to collaborate on this project.
What are you selling, Harold Tedesco? And why here?
Roberta - I think Harold is some sort of a troll. Unfortunately, they seem to pop up everywhere.
Harold Todo, what are you doing here???
