My name is Shaan. I am a former professional athlete and currently a performance coach working with athletes. I’ve always had a passion for the arts, writing, acting since I was in grade school. Whether it was portraying Macbeth or explaining to professors how I developed my concepts for writing assignments the love has always been there. I’ve joined to network, learn from you all and enhance my craft. Despite any accomplishments or accolades I gained in football, I prided myself on being coachable, dedicated and committed, the same holds true now.

What’s up Mo!!! So I’ve been a Cowboys fan from birth and as far as college goes i over theover the purity of the game. My Saturdays are consumed with 4 tvs blariing games from cbs, nbc, fox and espn Lolol, I’m a junkie.

Also just submitted my first pitch, excited to get feedback, I have 2 more scheduled for different projects. I chose written as I was a bit nervous about pitching live. In anyone’s experience which do you find to be more effective?

Pitched just once but opted for Skype and as the connection failed, did it by phone. My choice is for the chance to converse.

I think the Cowboys are gonna be one of the better teams this year, Rashaan Dumas. I don't have a pro team, but I might start liking the Broncos since Russell Wilson is the QB. I used to like the Patriots, then Seahawks. I have five college football teams. Each for a different reason. Alabama is my favorite team. Oregon. Army. Air Force. Navy.
I've used the Pitch Sessions two or three times. All written. I think one advantage of written pitches is an executive, producer, etc. can go back and reread something in the pitch. I might do live Pitch Sessions.

Mo, that makes a lot of sense thank you for your insight. As far as the Cowboys go I’ll have to disagree with you. It seems every team in the league got better in the offseason with the exception of the Cowboys. They lost Randy Gregory and Amari Cooper without replacing or adding.

Comedy/Dark comedy/Drama. I have two comwdy feature ideas with scripts in the works and a dark comedy/drama series with the pilot complete. So excited to get feedback.

Does talent just seem to come naturally to people with the name Dumas? (Like Alexandre Dumas or Marlene Dumas) I know one thing for certain: anybody that can memorize and perform the Bard is definitely the kind of person Hollywood will call up. Cheers!
