Hi Everyone!
My name is Alnaaze Nathoo - and I'm excited to join this group! I discovered Stage 32 through Instagram and while I've been silently stalking the page for a while now, I felt it was time to become a more active member.
I've dabbled in writing for years now, but most of my professional career has been working in Humanitarian Aid around the world. This year I've published two non-fiction books - the first is a book of women's biographies in Switzerland (celebrating the 50th anniversary of women getting the vote - very niche, I know) and the second is I've launched an indie imprint for anthologies with two other writers called Keeping It Under Wraps. Our first anthology (called Sex: Uncensored) came out this month.
Whether in my humanitarian work or my writing, the one thing I have always found vital is the importance of representation. Whether it's a silly romantic comedy (which I LOVE FYI) or a political thriller, it's important that we don't write about people with the same face and experience all the time. This is such a diverse world, there's enough room for everyone, and all stories to be told.
I'm currently working on my first screenplay, a fabulous and funny desi romantic comedy, and I look forward to learning and working with this community as I move forward on this and other exciting projects!

Hi, Alnaaze! Kudos to you for all the work you’ve done and your accomplishments as well. You’ve definitely made the right decision by diving right in to the platform. Stage 32 is a wealth of knowledge and connections. Don’t forget to check out the webinars and classes available hnder the “Education” tab to help you out while writing your first screenplay (yea!)! I definitely recommend the webinar “Outlining Your Script to Find Your Story” by Steve Desmond. Happy writing!
