My name is Dieter "Bubbles" Dietz. I am a freelance cameraman for many heavy metal music venues and a music video editor/producer in the Midwest, soon to be Northwest. I have 14 years of experience working with Canon and Panasonic video camcorders and working with AVS video editing software. My long term goal is to land a job anywhere to get more camera operating experience with a professional film crew someday. I am hoping to get my foot in the door with the film industry. Pleasure to meet you, my friend. I'm a bit of a metal head myself and incredibly interested that you come from the midwest. I grew up in Indiana, spent time in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, We call much of that the midwest even though there are a fair amount of locations far more western: ) Like you, I'm slowly learning to navigate fanciful and fun world of filmmaking! Hi Dieter, you are in the right place to start making connections! I would start by checking out the Education webinars for producers and directors. Also lurk around in the other lounges regularly. Just surfing people's connections and sending well-crafting introductory network requests is also stellar. Your bio page is important too - others check it often so try to have it link and content heavy. Keep filming!!!
