Introduce Yourself : Greetings! by Brandy Clarke

Brandy Clarke

Greetings!

Hello Stage32 community! I have recently joined and thought I would take the time (finally) to introduce myself. I am Brandy Clarke. I am an actress, single mom, and veteran. I am someone who loves nature, art, books, and being ridiculous with friends and family. I have begun writing my first screenplay which I have decided I will shoot when it's finished. I have background, supporting and leading roles under my belt and I am determined to make my acting a career and my name a household name. Networking is huge on my list right now to get my name out there and to book more roles. My number one desire for 'making it big' is to be in such a position to positively inspire others globally. I want to take my passion and funnel it into meaningful art, and enjoy the process!

John Friday

Brandy, which branch? I was in the Army for 13 years before a broken back forced me out. Best of luck with your screenplay and acting career! If you need music for any projects..... :-)

Jerry Kokich

THank you for your service and welcome!

David R. Roberts

Hi Brandy. You're setting yourself some big goals there but you sound pretty awesome so I'm sure you'll do well.

A fair number of stories involve vets. What an interesting way of identifying oneself: yet even if the time in training and combat only adds up to a fraction of a life, it marks like an indelible dye.

A friend who described his Marine Corps induction spoke to this. Fed and forced march with no opportunity to shit, the NCO's in charge just waited till someone could hold his bowels no longer and pointed him out as 'the one who'd get us all killed.'

Another pal told of his decision to exit the SeaBees on a live fire training mission. It's a dooz of a yarn, perhaps for some other occasion.

Thank you everyone!

John Friday, thank you. I was in Army NG for nine years before I decided to move on to other adventures. And thank you for the music offer!

David Roberts, thank you, and I tend to set big goals and have completed most of them so far!

Jim Hickey, thank you for your words. It's always fun to listen to other service members stories!
